Amangarh Tiger Reserve is one of the most prestigious, beautiful and richest wilderness areas in District Bijnor of Uttar Pradesh, spreading over an area of about 9500 Ha (95 Sq.Kms) with a combination of grasslands, wetlands and dense forest. Out of the 3 Tiger Reserves in UP, Amangarh is emerging as an important Eco-Tourism spot after Dudhwa and Pilibhit. Amangarh was notified on 21 july 2012 as a Amangarh Tiger Reserve. In 2012, the reserve was said to have 13 tigers which jumped to a total of 20 in All India Tiger Estimation 2018. Apart from tigers, 105 elephants are reported in Elephant census-2019 in ATR/Elephant Reserve. Its 79.99 Sq km.area was notified as Elephant Reserve in 2011.

The robust Asiatic Elephants and the roaring Tigers among the wild animals are the star attractions of this area. The Cheetal, Sambhar, Kakar, Leopard, Bear, Porcupine, Wild Boar, Jackal, Jungle cat etc, and the avifauna including Spangled Drongo, Golden Backed Wood Pecker, Jungle owlet, Red jungle fowl, grey horn bill and hornbill make this area a prestigious natural heritage. ATR acts as the buffer area for Corbett Tiger Reserve (Uttarakhand) making it home to many wild animals that disperse from Jim Corbett.
Various kinds of accommodations are available for Tourists in Tala which are provided by the Forest Department and Private parties. Forest Rest House (4 rooms), Family Suites (4 Suites) and Log Huts (5 rooms) are provided by the Department which have to be booked prior to the visit.
Amangarh Tiger Reserve is located at a distance of 219 km from Delhi and 132 km from Meerut, which has good roadways to reach, about 3 to 4 hour from Delhi. It can be reached in 2 to 3 hours from Meerut.
The suitable time of Eco-tourism in Amangarh Tiger Reserve is between 15 October to 15 June (Day Time Jungle Safari/Bird Watching/ Boating Safari only).
